Develop AI and Digital Tools in Indian Languages

We can use the following digital tools today to Read, Write, Translate, Search and AI in Indian languages
on PC, Android and Apple Phones as indicated below.

Search and AI in Indian Languages

1. Google Assistant (AI) on Android:
     Settings-Google Settings-Voice-Languages-
    Settings-Google Settings-Google Assistant-Assistant-Languages
    Settings-Google Settings-Language & Region (Changes interface Language*)
2. Alexa AI from Amazon: Just say “Setup my Alexa in Hindi”.

How to Type in Indian Languages
1. Web Form: Google Indic Keyboard for Web Typing
2. Android Phones: Install Google Indic Keyboard App .
In the keyboard, click on Globe Symbol to switch to English and Indian Languages.
3. Gmail and Google Docs:
3a. Gmail-Settings-General Tab-Languages-Checkmark Enable Input.
3b. Tools-Edit Tools-Double Click Language Font Icon-Click OK-
and Click Save Changes at the bottom.
3c. Next to Settings, Click Small Keyboard Symbol at top- Check the Language and Start Typing.
When you want to type English, Uncheck other languages.
4. Voice Typing in Android: Go to Play store- Install Gboard-
Click on Mic symbol  - Settings - Check the language in which you want to speak.
It works in only one language at a time.
4. Download Microsoft Indian Fonts for PC
5. In Apple: Download and Update Apple iOS13,
    Go to System Prefs > Language & Text > Input Sources

How to Translate to and from Indian Languages
1. On the Web: Google Translate and Microsoft Translate
2. Android App: Google Translate
3. In Google Docs, Click on Tools and Translate
4. Transliteration*: Free Open Source or Google Transliterate
    (Transliteration outputs the original songs and prayers in different scripts)
